How To Transition Your Summer Look For Fall.

Getting Ready Time: 47 minutes. As it turns out, short hair doesn’t always mean less maintenance.

I have abandonment issues. Summer is leaving us, yet I am not yet ready to say goodbye. Just like a needy psychotic ex-girlfriend, not willing to admit that the relationship is over, I am clinging to the last remaining rays of the sunshine[1].

While most of my girlfriends are looking forwards to putting on their leather jackets and cosy knits, I am sticking to romantic blouses and cropped trousers. But since this Autumn threw us a curve ball with all the unexpected sunshine- I have been getting away with it. Take this outfit for example. This Chloe blouse became an absolute favourite of mine during the summer, replacing pretty much the rest of my wardrobe in one swiping movement. Beautiful, comfortable and with a built-in movement, it breathed a new life into my old Marni jeans. Saying goodbye to it would break my heart.[2]

Luckily for me and my heart, this season the designers finally abandoned the whole annoying minimalistic approach to fashion, and we are back to the lavish opulence and gothic romance. Fall’16 is going to be all about chiffon, lace and velvet.  And that means that this beautiful blouse gets to stay in the rotation. No matter where the weather is going to take us, there is always going to be a way to wear it. I could always add a simple maxi skirt for a winter wedding, denim overalls- for Sunday brunch and an elongated vest- for work.
